Human Resources Manager

Position Purpose & Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for duties related to employee benefits, worker's compensation, HRIS and compliance. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supervising the office in the absence of the VP of HR.

Essential Functions:

• Administer Benefits Administration Policy including tracking enrollment eligibility, ACA compliance, facilitating open enrollment meetings, claims inquiries, dependent additions and/or deletions and reconciling monthly billing.
• Assist with unemployment claims.
• Accurately administer workers' compensation reporting, investigations and follow up. Maintain OSHA 500 Logs.
• Assign and maintain tracking of lockers and vehicle tags.
• Manage and organize hiring process/paperwork to include drug screens, background checks, background check letters.
• Track team member certifications, licenses.
• Assist with HR related paperwork, tuition reimbursements, transfers, and direct deposits.
• Oversee employee file maintenance and record keeping and maintain employee information in HRIS. Audit data monthly and correct any discrepancies found.
• Daily data entry into HRIS for new hires, terminations, status or pay rate changes and other information as required.
• Compile monthly turnover report.
• Assist in the administration of recognition and service awards programs including monthly Enriching Lives Recognition and annual recognition events such as Gateway Club celebration.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of team member relations events/programs to include but not limited to, President and CEO's Roundtable Meetings, All Team Meetings, Team Member Appreciation Events, Holiday Party and Annual Team Member Engagement Survey/Action Planning.
• Assist in the recruitment process to include posting new positions internally and externally, planning and participating in hiring events.
• Provide guidance and support to leaders and team members.
• Assist the VP of HR in other duties as assigned including but not limited to, counseling, disciplinary actions, terminations and exit interviews.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions including typing, record keeping, producing word documents. Must have strong communication and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of three (3) years job-related experience in benefits administration.

Environmental Factors:

Environmental factors may include indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation. May occasionally be called upon to work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
